Bathing rules in the Sea Bathing House

For the sake of water quality*, it is important that the following bathing rules are observed:

  • The pool is only accessible after a thorough soap wash WITHOUT swimwear – if you go to the toilet, it’s back to square one. Hair must also be washed with soap BEFORE bathing to remove residual hair products. If you do not wash your hair, you must use a shower cap.
  • After using the sauna, rinse off before entering the pool again – there are showers at the sauna.
  • Children and others who may find it difficult to hold on to the div should use a swim diaper (available at the reception).
  • If you suffer from an infectious disease, there is unfortunately no access to the pool.
  • Children under 12 years only when accompanied by an adult.
  • Larger groups of young people only have access with a leader.
  • No head jumps and “bombs” and no ball games.
  • There is no lifeguard. Bathing is at your own risk.

* The water quality is measured 3 times a day and if the numbers are measured higher than allowed according to rules from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency, the pool will be closed until the water quality is restored.

Other useful info before the visit

  • Check the opening hours of the Sea Bath House.
  • There are regular swimming teams that use the pool during its opening hours. The pool is open to other guests, but the pool may be busy. Contact the reception to find out when there are swimming classes.
  • Saturdays from 14-17 are reserved for resident guests. In case of peak pool usage at other times, we reserve the right to refuse visitors who are not staying at the holiday center.
  • For particularly vulnerable guests and/or groups of 10 people or more, please contact us prior to visiting Havbadehuset.
